Abstract
Mullite refractories make up one of the main acid refractory groups. Owing to their excellent thermomechanical properties and their resistance they are the principle component of the numerous refractory articles. The general properties of the andalusite and mullite-based refractory products are investigated in the articles as well as the minerals purity influence on their performance characteristics is studied for the applications where their refractory properties are critical.
