EXPERIENCE IN THE USE OF ALUMINOUS ALUMINUMCONTAINING FLUX DURING LADLE PROCESSING OF «ALUMINUM-FREE» STEELS

Abstract
In the assortment of many manufactures, there are so-called «non-aluminum» steels, in which the aluminum content is limited by thousandths of a percent. Usually, for the secondary treatment of such steels, it is forbidden to use materials containing metallic and oxidized aluminum. In this article, we present the results of industrial experiments proving the possibility of using a thinning alumina material in the smelting, keeping in the steel a low aluminum content and forming in the slag phases favorable from the point of view of the use of solidified slag in construction.
