Abstract

The  investigation  was   carried out   for  the   influence  of the  firing  temperature on  the  properties of the  materials obtained  on   base  of  the   complex  highly   concentrated ceramic bonding suspension (HCBS)  containing  various amounts of Al2O3 and SiO2. Three characteristic isothermal temperature  intervals were defined for  the  materials  of all compositions: the  preferred sintering or shrinkage (900-1200 оC); the  preferred mullitization followed  by the growth (1200-1400 оC) and  the  sintering of the  mullitized material  (1400-1600  оC).   The   comparative  analysis  is given  for the  sintering and  mullitization of the  materials in  the  course of  non-isothermal heating and   isothermal firing.  It  was  established that the  considerable sintering and  mullitization is beginning to  be  observed just  in  the heating up to the  desired temperature.
