REFRACTORIES FOR ARGON BLOWING OF METAL IN STEEL-TEEMING LADLES AT JSC «MAGNITOGORSK IRON AND STEEL WORKS»

Abstract
The data are given on the refractory products used for metal blowing in steel-teeming ladles, on the principles of their operation and on the results obtained. On base of comparative analysis the argon blowing of steel in the steel-teeming ladle through the bottom purging plug system is considered to be the most effective technology. In connection with this conclusion the well-proven on trials refractory products with formed radial channels are used for bottom blowing at JSC «Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works». Ill. 9. Tab. 2.
