Abstract
The competent selection of the slag-forming materials as well as the correct choice of their application technology influence significantly on the quality and safety of the steel teeming process. The automatic systems for slag-forming material’s feeding provide the input of the mixture by the regular metered out batches with the result that the quality of the continuous cast steel billets’ surface improves, the metal production quantity rejected by steel teeming defects and the consumption of slag-forming materials decrease.
