INVESTIGATION OF ALUMINUM OXIDE POWDERS FORMED BY MEANS OF CHEMICAL DISPERSION OF ALUMINA-MAGNESIUM ALLOYS

Abstract
The investigating results are given in the article for petrographic analysis of the aluminum oxide powders formed through the chemical dispersion of aluminum-magnesium alloys with 6 and 12 % of magnesium. The powders have been washed out by means of vacuum filtration and dried at 60–80 °C. Heat treating was carried out at 1400 °C with soaking time 1 hour. The comparative analysis of the results obtained is presented, and the particularities of both phase composition and material structure are described. Ill. 3. Tab. 3.
