THE INFLUENCE OF THE SEED CRYSTAL ON THE Α-AL2O3'S CRYSTALLIZATION IN THE ALUMINA GELS

Abstract
The resulting investigations are given in the article on the phase transformations in course of α-Al2O3 synthesis out of dehydrate alumina gel. It was shown that the introducing of α-Al2O3 seed crystals in the alumina gel doesn't influence the initiation temperature of the γ-Al2O3 transformation into α-phase. However the presence of the seed crystal increases significantly the velocity of transformation which under certain condition leads to the decrease in the temperature of complete a-phase crystallization.
