Abstract

The paper presents the results of the studies of refractory materials produced by the company Keralit, JSC Borovichi Refractories Plant and STC Bakor and intended for the arch of the electric furnace EP-6 for HLW vitrification. The studies have determined strength properties and acid resistance of the materials when exposed to vapors of nitric acid and nitric acid solution. It has been concluded as a result of the studies that optimum materials for construction of the furnace arch are MKRTU-50 and MKV-65 materials produced by JSC Borovichi Refractories Plant and STC Bakor, respectively.
