Abstract

The laboratory investigating results are given in the article related to the Al2O3‒Cr2O3 refractories workability in the bubble-agitated double-chamber furnaces when processing the whole host of materials, the technogenic wastes including. The refractories were tested for the resistance in the iron-containing melts medium. The operational conditions in both of the melting and reducing chambers of the bubble-agitated furnace were simulated. The optical microscopy methods were used to investigate the zones and the total depth of the crucible‒melt interaction on the refractory crucible‒melt interface.
